    Abacus 5 is the most advanced model in our range of hematology analyzers, utilizing patented laser-based optical measurement technology developed by Diatron. It provides cost-effective, precise and accurate 5-part differential results.

     

    Plugging easily into the side of the analyzer, the optional autosampler unit is instantly recognized by the analyzer software making the Abacus 5 a true “walk-away” system. The autosampler has the capacity for a maximum of 100 primary sample tubes including 10 racks of 10 sample tubes each. Capable of accepting a variety of tubes, continuous sample addition is possible after the first rack of 10 samples has been tested. Additional features of the autosampler include an on-board mixing system and cap recognition sensor to ensure that only capped tubes are mixed and processed by the Abacus 5 hematology analyzer.

    Efficient – The Abacus 5 provides a complete 26 parameter report including optical determinations of the 5-part WBC differential count. It offers open and closed tube sampling options and has a throughput of 60 samples per hour in either stat or autoloader mode. In addition, the analyzer has a 100,000 result database capacity.

     

    Space saving – The Abacus 5 is one of the smallest 5-part differential analyzers, requiring minimal bench space. This makes it an ideal system for use in space-restricted environments such as clinics and small laboratories.

     

    Cost Efficient – The Abacus 5 uses only 3 reagents to make an analysis plus a small volume of cleaner thus providing a 5-part diff result at a very competitive price. In addition, the analyzer requires minimal maintenance thus reducing its operational downtime.
